Player Tracking

Build a diamond-block tracker and follow directional clues to other players.

Tracking without coordinates

SoupHavoc includes a block-built player tracker designed for survival hunts. It does not simply reveal an enemy's exact coordinates. Instead, it gives directional clues, so finding someone still requires searching, planning and travel.

Building a tracker

The tracker is operated while standing on a diamond block. Tracker arms extend in the four horizontal directions, using the configured tracking blocks. Obsidian and gold blocks increase the range of individual arms by 25 blocks each. Each direction is evaluated independently, and incomplete arms do not contribute a valid tracking direction.

Reading results

Tracking output includes the tracker range and directional lists:

  • X+ and X− for east/west relative to the world axes.
  • Z+ and Z− for south/north relative to the world axes.
  • None where no eligible players are detected in a completed direction.

Use /track all to check eligible nearby players or /track <player> to look for a particular player. The exact effective range depends on how you build the tracker.

Dimension behaviour

Overworld and Nether tracking account for Minecraft's 8:1 coordinate scaling. Tracking players in the End is disabled. Tracking is directional rather than a live GPS position or exact distance.

Hunting tips

Build longer tracker arms when you need more reach, then combine directional results from different positions to narrow the search. Bring enough supplies to survive the journey and remember that other players may be tracking you too.
